Hilltop
Lumber was started by Terry Petersen in 2002. Terry has been in the
lumber business for over 25 years. He worked in Clarkfield,
Dawson, and Springfield before coming to New Ulm. He also worked
at New Ulm Building Center for 10 years prior to its closing.
After working for a few weeks out of his home, he rented several stalls
at Cottonwood Storage Building and set up an office and showroom, and
began stocking building materials.
In July of 2004 the business incorporated and is now known as Hilltop
Lumber of New Ulm, Inc.
Hilltop Lumber has
been growing steadily from the first day of business.
We pride ourselves in the
ability to supply most any building project, large or small. We are a
full service lumber yard selling all types of building materials. We can
supply your project with everything from nails to rafters, sheetrock to
roofing, and paint to kitchen cabinets. We listen to our customers and
what their needs are. From that perspective we can assist them in
finding the best product available for their situation.

other specialty tools, and offer a drafting service for a reasonable
fee.
